- Location: Washington, DC 20010 (DC nursing jobs)
- Setting: Outpatient Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/9/2026 – End: 5/11/2026)
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour days (8:00am – 4:30pm) or 4x10-hour days (8:00am – 6:30pm)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810 - $1940
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active DC Registered Nurse license (required for Washington, DC healthcare jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; hematology/oncology experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) and BMTCN (Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse) certifications preferred
- Outpatient clinic experience preferred
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Strong skills in care coordination, patient/family education, and central line care
- Two supervisor references required
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for patients undergoing stem cell transplant and CAR-T therapy
- Manage post-transplant clinic appointments, testing, and communication between interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Provide patient and family teaching on immunosuppression, follow-up care, infusions, and medications
- Support patients with malignant hematology diagnoses, including lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma, and post-transplant care
- Perform central line blood draws and PICC line care
- Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values
- Participate in telephone triage and outpatient clinic operations
