Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Geneva, NY (Finger Lakes region) – New York nursing jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment
- Unit: ICU (Float Pool – includes Med/Surg, Emergency Room, MST)
- Shifts: Full Time, 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am) per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- On-Call: 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period
- Duration: 14-week contract (Start: January 6, 2026 – End: April 11, 2026)
- Openings: 3 ICU RN positions available
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care nursing
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association or RQI)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to float between Geneva General Hospital and SSMH healthcare locations
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and MST units
- Float between multiple hospital units as needed
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for all age groups (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric)
- Apply age-specific care and growth and development principles
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Foster a healing environment through effective communication and teamwork
- Demonstrate strong time management and serve as a role model for clinical excellence
