Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Akron, Ohio (44307) – Ohio healthcare job
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele RN)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 9, 2026 – End: April 10, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880-$2020
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license (required for Ohio nursing jobs)
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting prior to start date
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical competency assessments
