EP Tech Job Details

• Location: Chesapeake, Virginia (Zip: 23320) – Coastal Virginia healthcare jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract for Electrophysiology Techs
• Duration: 13 weeks, with possible extension
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-10 hour day shifts (between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), no call required
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2490 - $2670
• Setting: Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab)
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026

EP Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Electrophysiology Lab or cardiac cath lab
• Associate's degree or higher; completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program
• ACLS certification required
• NASPE/RCES or RCIS certification, or registry eligible
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with GE Cardio Lab and/or St Jude Work Mate equipment preferred
• Virginia or compact state healthcare license required
• No prior license or background hits permitted
• Ability to pass facility fit testing requirements
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Electrophysiology Tech Responsibilities

• Perform invasive electrophysiology procedures including 3D mapping, EP recording systems, and advanced ablation (including A-Fib)
• Support cardiac rhythm management interrogation and programming for multi-vendor devices
• Operate and maintain electrophysiology equipment
• Assist with ICE procedures and cardiac rhythm management
• Utilize sterile technique and maintain equipment inventory
• Perform EKG lead placement, arrhythmia induction, conduction studies, and cardiac mapping
• Provide patient care for adults in the EP Lab
• Complete required modules and orientation prior to start
