Radiology Technologist Job Details
- Location: Knoxville, TN 37920 – Tennessee radiology jobs
- Healthcare Setting: Large Level I Trauma Center
- Contract Type: Travel healthcare contract
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
- Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
- Schedule: 5/2 split schedule – every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Radiology X-ray
- Equipment: GE/Siemens X-ray equipment, O-Arm
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1630-$1750
Radiology Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital setting (large volume hospital preferred)
- Extensive Operating Room (OR) experience required
- ARRT Certification required
- Experience with fluoroscopy and portable X-ray procedures
- Ability to float within scope to ED, IP, OP, OR, and portables as needed
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Valid Tennessee Radiology Technologist license in hand required at time of submission
- Weekend shifts required; must be available to work some holidays
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Local candidates within 25 miles not accepted
Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable studies
- Provide expert support in the Operating Room, including O-Arm procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced trauma environment
- Float to various units (ED, IP, OP, OR, portables) as needed to meet facility demands
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
- Demonstrate proficiency with GE and Siemens X-ray equipment
- Participate in orientation and annual training modules
