Radiology Technologist Job Details
- Location: Charleston, SC 29407 (South Carolina healthcare job)
- Facility Setting: Adult Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts/week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Total Hours: 40 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100–$2,260/week
- On-call: Not required
- Weekend Requirement: None
- Floating: May float to similar units
- Orientation: 16 hours
Radiology Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, CVT, or EP Tech
- National Certification: ARRT or CCI required
- South Carolina QRSA licensure required (pending license considered with proof of application)
- Certifications: BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association) required
- Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
- Experience with Epic electronic charting system
- First-time healthcare travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Assist with adult diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
- Support permanent and temporary pacemaker insertions (PPI)
- Perform pulmonary artery (PA) line insertions and right heart catheterizations
- Conduct conduction studies and AICD (Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) insertion/programming
- Monitor and recognize life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias
- Maintain sterile technique and scrub/circulate during procedures
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot radiology and cath lab equipment
- Stock supplies and manage inventory for clinical support
- Perform EKG lead placement and hemodynamic monitoring
- Float to similar healthcare units as needed
