Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Harrison Township, NJ 08062 (Gloucester County)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 24
• Nursing Shift: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Scrub Color: Steel Grey
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Hourly Pay Rate: $97.65
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570 - $1650

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience within the last 6 months
• Postpartum couplet care experience required
• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License (pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (must be valid for at least 30 days from start date)
• Ability to complete all orientation requirements (virtual and in-person)
• Must be able to work every other weekend and holiday
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Maximum 3 days

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns, including postpartum couplet care
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, and assist with labor and delivery procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn health
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Participate in required orientation and ongoing nurse training sessions
