• Facility: Major Children's Hospital, Stepdown Pediatric ICU (PICU)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (Travel Contract)
• Start Date: January 26, 2026 (ASAP upon credentialing; urgent need)
• End Date: July 27, 2026
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts weekly (18:00 – 06:00), including weekends/holidays
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3980-$4270
• Unit: 24-bed Stepdown PICU, high volume pulmonary cases
• EMR System: Epic

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license (required for Ohio nursing jobs)
• Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric critical care or ICU experience
• Epic EMR proficiency
• Skilled in intubation and arterial line placement
• Ability to start within 30 days of offer acceptance (urgent healthcare need)

Healthcare Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced practice care to pediatric patients in a Stepdown PICU
• Perform critical procedures: intubation and arterial line placement
• Collaborate with two APPs nightly to manage a 24-bed unit
• Provide high-quality care for pulmonary cases
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
