Registered Nurse Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Location: Roanoke, VA 24014 (Virginia nursing jobs)
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), plus call rotation
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend/Holiday: Rotating weekends; must work at least one holiday during contract
- Orientation: 8 hours (plus modules)
OR RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room nursing experience
- Proficient in circulating and scrubbing for total joints, craniotomies/neuro, and ortho trauma
- Ortho and neuro experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Willingness to participate in call and weekend rotations
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Local candidates (within 100 miles) not eligible
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver expert perioperative and surgical nursing care for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Circulate and scrub for surgical specialties: general, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotic, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine
- Operate advanced surgical equipment: ROSA, Si and Xi daVinci robots, Stealth, O-Arm, HIPEC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
- Participate in call rotation and work scheduled weekends and holidays
