Job Details – Telemetry RN Travel Assignment
- Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan (ZIP 49048) – Michigan nursing jobs
- Unit: 3N Cardiovascular Unit – Telemetry (54 beds)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 01/12/2026 – End: 04/13/2026)
- Shift: 3x12 Hour Days (07:00 – 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays
- Float Requirement: May float to similar units or affiliate hospitals
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Charting: Cerner Powerchart & EPIC (clinical support systems)
Qualifications – Telemetry Registered Nurse
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license may be pending)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry or Cardiovascular nursing
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted)
- Proficiency with Cerner and EPIC charting systems
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to complete up to 8 hours of pre-start modules
Responsibilities – Telemetry RN
- Deliver direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
- Monitor patients with cardiac conditions: heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain
- Administer and manage cardiac drips and vasoactive medications (no titration required)
- Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases
- Perform central and peripheral line care, wound care, and tracheostomy management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services
- Float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to facility policies
