Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit (KR - Krannert)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Nursing Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Orientation: 12 hours
• First Time Travel Nurses: Accepted

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; must be in hand prior to start date)
• BCLS certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Strong urology nursing skills and IV start proficiency
• Must have majority 3s & 4s in Urology section to qualify
• Two supervisor references required
• Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this travel nursing position

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with urology, plastic surgery, orthopedic oncology, and surgical oncology diagnoses
• Perform special procedures including CBI and hand irrigations
• Initiate and maintain IVs, manage surgical drains, and administer medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA)
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation)
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner
• Float to other nursing units and affiliate hospitals as required
• Work self-scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays
