• Facility Type: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: ICU – 7 Valley Pavilion
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026, End: 4/13/2026)
• Patient Ratios: 1:2-3
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Colors: Royal blue and white
• Guaranteed Hours: After 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment, all contracted hours are guaranteed

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Active RN license (state or compact) – Registered Nurse jobs in North Carolina
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass EKG exam (no exceptions)
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Not accepting local candidates within 50 miles of facility
• Must provide interview availability upon submission

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Manage patient assignments with ratios of 1:2-3 in the ICU
• Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures: arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, emergency medications
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Administer blood products and continuous IV sedation/paralytics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including pharmacy, phlebotomy, and IV teams
• Float to similar critical care units as needed to support hospital operations
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start
