Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Utica, NY 13502 (New York nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (1/19/2026 – 4/19/2026)
• Unit: Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown Unit (64 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Floating: Required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• EMR: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse license (RN license verified via NURSYS)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown or acute care nursing jobs
• Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Up-to-date nursing resume documenting relevant clinical experience
• Two recent Med/Surg Charge/Manager RN references
• Skills checklist matching Med/Surg specialty
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
• Ability to float to other units as needed

RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and general med/surg conditions
• Monitor and assess patient status, administer medications, and manage IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient information in EPIC EMR
• Float to other hospital units as required to support patient care
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
