• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day/evening shifts
• Hours per Week: 40 hours per week (scheduled)

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN License (required for Minnesota healthcare jobs)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or Perianesthesia nursing experience; 3-5 years preferred
• Experience in pre-op, phase 2, and PACU settings
• Proficiency in IV skills and titrating pressors
• Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Telemetry training and ability to read cardiac tele strips
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• New graduates are not eligible for this travel nursing job

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and titrate pressors as needed
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions
• Care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in a clinical support role
• Utilize advanced IV and telemetry skills to support patient recovery
• Document all care provided according to hospital policies
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and families
