- Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Floor 4A
- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible)
- Orientation: 24 hours onsite
- 100-mile radius rule: Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in Idaho
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Epic EMR charting experience preferred
- Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patients
- Strong clinical, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, EMR systems)
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process and hospital protocols
- Respond to emergencies and life-threatening situations with appropriate interventions
- Prioritize, delegate, and communicate patient care effectively
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies and pursue ongoing professional development
- Float to other hospital units as needed based on competencies
- Manage a patient ratio of 5-7 per shift
- Perform specialized nursing skills: blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube management, feeding tube and tracheostomy care, wound care, and more
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
