Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico nursing jobs)
• Facility Type: Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital
• Contract Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: March 9, 2026
• End Date: June 8, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekly Hours: 36 (option for 48-hour contracts available)
• Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 times during assignment)
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 4-week schedule (may vary by unit)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NM license can be pending at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (No RQI certifications accepted)
• Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skilled in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and lower acuity units as needed
• Non-local candidates only (must reside more than 75 miles from facility)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips cardiac monitors
• Start and maintain IVs, manage telemetry equipment, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more
• Float to PCU, ED, and other med/surg-like floors as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner charting system
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
