• Location: Newark, Ohio 43055
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
• Shift: Day Shift (3x12 hour shifts/week, 36 hours/week)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026 (ASAP start available)
• Openings: 2 Med/Surg RN positions

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following clinical protocols and hospital safety standards
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals during team conferences
• Provide patient and family education, including discharge planning from admission
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all hospital safety policies
• Support a positive healthcare team environment and participate in unit-based activities and professional development
