Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) license – Georgia or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience (MICU preferred)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proven experience in ventilator management and titrating IV pressors for critically ill patients
- Skilled in complex medication management and care for patients with sepsis, hypertensive urgency, and stroke (CVA)
- Ability to provide care for COVID-positive patients in a designated unit
- Must comply with a strict 75-mile radius restriction
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU
- Manage ventilators and titrate IV medications, including pressors, in an acute care setting
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, collaborating with the healthcare team
- Care for patients with complex diagnoses such as sepsis, hypertensive emergencies, and stroke
- Provide clinical support to COVID-positive patients and, as needed, to surgical or cardiac ICU patients
- Document patient care and interventions accurately using the MEDITECH charting system
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
