Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Augusta, Georgia 30912
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery / Perinatal Unit
Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), weekends required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
Pay Rate: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent high-risk Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Active RN license in Georgia or multi-state compact nursing license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
Epic EMR experience required
Preferred: Previous travel nurse experience and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Monitor, assess, and evaluate maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery
Support labor management and assist with the delivery process
Deliver immediate postpartum care and patient education
Collaborate with OB residents, attendings, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety
Accurately document nursing care and respond to emergencies as needed
Operate advanced clinical equipment including Epic EMR, Obix fetal monitoring, Omnicell, and Philips monitors
Participate in a three-day preceptor-based orientation and complete required nursing competencies
Float to OBED (Obstetric Emergency Department) as needed (with relevant experience)
Follow unit policies, procedures, and AWHONN staffing guidelines
