Job Details – Med/Surg Tele RN

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: May 18, 2026
• Duration: 13-16 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Self-scheduling: Submit your preferred schedule requests
• Orientation: 1 week dayshift classroom, 36 hours on-unit with preceptor
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Staffing Ratios: Goal 1:4, may be 1:5

Qualifications – Registered Nurse (RN)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele or PCU nursing experience
• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state nursing license required)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Proficient with Epic EMR charting system
• Ability to float to other acute care oncology units
• Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or formal leader)

Key Responsibilities – Med/Surg Tele RN

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical oncology patients with breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive plastic surgery diagnoses
• Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies (e.g., cytokine release syndrome)
• Manage insulin and heparin drips, chest tube care, and telemetry monitoring
• Implement infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Participate in self-scheduling and provide weekend coverage as needed
• Accurately document all patient care in the Epic EMR system
• Support a positive and safe patient environment on a busy, high-acuity surgical floor
