Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, Ohio (Zip: 43203) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 4-5 patients
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Setting: General and Vascular Surgery, Trauma, Wound, and Plastics

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state) – Ohio RN jobs
• Current BLS certification
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficient in Epic charting system
• Strong clinical skills in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate nursing procedures
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leader)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Float between units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular, Wound, and Plastics departments
• Manage patient ratios of 4-5 per shift, focusing on adult and geriatric populations
• Perform advanced nursing procedures including IV starts, telemetry monitoring, wound care, tracheostomy management, and post-surgical care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation
• Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
