PCU Nursing Job Details

• Location: Barberton, Ohio (44203) – Akron area healthcare jobs
• Unit: 4 South (4S) – Mixed Acuity/Telemetry
• Assignment Type: Travel RN job
• Start Date: February 1, 2026
• End Date: March 21, 2026
• Duration: 7-week nursing contract
• Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5/6
• Float Requirement: Yes – float to other units as needed

PCU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit or Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio nursing jobs
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Recent Epic EMR experience (within the last year, must be listed on resume)
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE accredited program)
• Ability to provide clinical support for cardiovascular and neurological patients
• Must submit required health and professional documentation during onboarding
• Maximum 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed; no RTO during first two weeks

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medication drips, and perform neurological assessments
• Care for patients with cardiovascular and neurological conditions, including isolation precautions
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized care plans
• Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
