• Facility: Community Hospital, IMCU/Med-Surg Telemetry Unit
• Contract Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: January 19, 2026
• End Date: April 20, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Night shift (7:00pm – 7:00am) primarily; minimal rotation to day shift (7:30am – 7:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 5 beds; average daily census of 4 IMCU patients

RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania or Compact Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Proficient with Cerner electronic charting system
• Ability to float to Med-Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital background
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and Childline process promptly after contract signing
• Lab work completion required within 72 hours of contract signing

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical, surgical, and cardiac patients
• Monitor and manage patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry
• Administer IV medications and manage central/peripheral lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
• Utilize Cerner for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Respond to rapid response/code situations as needed
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for rotating shifts
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Support patient care for a wide range of diagnoses, including pneumonia, CHF, DKA, cardiac events, sepsis, GI bleed, and more
