Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 (Illinois healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (7N)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 hour shifts/week)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float to local campuses (Rock Island, Bettendorf, Moline, Muscatine)
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown nursing experience
• Active RN license in Illinois or Iowa (Illinois nursing jobs, Iowa healthcare jobs)
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ability to manage a 1:4-5 patient ratio
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress using EPIC EMR
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and intervene as needed
• Float to other cardiac stepdown units within local campuses as required
• Participate in shift handoffs, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
