Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Torrington, CT 06791 (Connecticut healthcare jobs)
• Facility: 28-bed Med/Surg unit (20 telemetry beds, 12 private rooms, 16 double rooms)
• Job Type: Travel RN assignment
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 12, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical/surgical and intermediate stroke diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR system
• Support inpatient dialysis services within the unit
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
