Key Job Details – ICU Nursing Opportunity

• Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Quincy, Illinois 62301
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – 2nd floor (MICU, SICU)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/19/2026 – End: 4/20/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM start), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Qualifications – ICU RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center (300+ bed hospital)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (PALS preferred)
• Proficiency with CRRT (prismaflex) highly preferred
• Experience pulling sheaths preferred
• Ability to titrate drips and interpret cardiac strips
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU (MICU/SICU)
• Manage trauma, neuro, cardiac, and post-surgical cases
• Operate advanced ICU equipment: CRRT, rotaprone beds, TTM (Arctic Sun), ventilators
• Administer and titrate critical care drips (Precedex, pressors, antiarrhythmics, sedation)
• Perform bedside procedures: tracheostomies, chest tube insertions, arterial line insertions, bronchoscopies
• Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and monitor techs
• Float to PCU/CVICU as needed for clinical support
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations
• Complete orientation and ongoing nursing competencies
