Registered Nurse Job Details

Location: Lebanon, New Hampshire (Zip: 03756) – Upper Valley region
Healthcare Setting: Birthing Pavilion – 21 rooms, 2-bed triage, 2 operating rooms
Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
Start Date: January 19, 2026
End Date: April 20, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Nursing Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
On-Site Registered Nurse Position

Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Hampshire or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
BLS certification (AHA) required
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns following AWHONN staffing guidelines
Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
Administer medications, including high-risk infusions (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin drips)
Assist with triage, labor support, delivery, and recovery in a fast-paced clinical environment
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
