ER RN Job Details – Rochester, NY Healthcare Jobs

• Location: Rochester, NY 14626 (New York healthcare)
• Facility Setting: Emergency Room (ER) – Adult & Pediatric
• Contract Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• End Date: May 18, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5, mixed/shared acuity
• Scrub Colors: Navy and white
• Charting System: Epic (Epic experience required)
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Float: Required based on census
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse license (must be in hand)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float to other hospital units
• Clinical skills: multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, dysrhythmia management, emergency medication administration
• Phlebotomy, IV starts, and central line care/management
• Open to first-time travel nurses
• Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles

ER RN Responsibilities – Emergency Nursing Jobs

• Deliver direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer emergency medications
• Perform blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV starts/maintenance
• Administer and monitor continuous IV paralytics, sedation, and vasopressors
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA)
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, etc.)
• Float to other units as needed
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
