ICU RN Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Job Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), weekdays and every other weekend
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license considered)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Ability to provide at least 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• CCRN certification preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric ICU patients
• Perform conscious sedation, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Administer emergency medications and manage critical drips (cardiac, vasoactive)
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage dysrhythmias
• Assist with procedures including chest tube insertion/removal, central line care, and wound management
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care using CPSI EMR system
