• Job Title: Med/Surg Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Night Shift
• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (MS/Tele)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 20, 2026
• End Date: April 21, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift, 4x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Total Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Available to work every other holiday as needed
• Charting System: EPIC (required)
• Floating: Required within LPN skillset
• Scrub Color: Navy blue and white combinations

LPN Qualifications

• Active New York State LPN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care LPN experience (within the last 2 years)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to manage own patient assignment with RN support
• First-time travel nurses welcome

LPN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a Medical/Surgical setting, including vital signs, pain assessment, intake/output monitoring, and isolation precautions
• Administer medications (oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, ear and eye drops), IV therapy with pumps, and blood glucose monitoring
• Perform wound care (simple dressings, JP/Hemovac drains), bathing, mouth care, and Foley catheter insertion
• Monitor telemetry, perform 12-lead EKGs, and manage feeding tubes
• Label specimens and collect clean catch urine samples
• Communicate changes in patient status to RN/MD
• Float to other nursing units within LPN skillset as needed
