ER RN Job Details

• Location: Lansing, MI (48912) – Michigan healthcare jobs
• Facility: Emergency Room – Level I Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 20, 2026 – End: April 21, 2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Weekend Coverage: 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4-week schedule
• Floating: May float to Pediatric Emergency Department

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required by start date; compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Level I trauma experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (ENPC preferred)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Proof of high school education required
• Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting, including behavioral health assignments
• Manage patient ratios typically 1:5-6, with flexibility during high census periods
• Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
• Perform triage, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and trauma care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, rapid response)
• Utilize EPIC for accurate charting and documentation
• Complete required module education before starting clinical shifts
• Work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule as assigned
