PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location: Zanesville, OH 43701 (Ohio nursing jobs)
Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract
Start Date: January 19, 2026 (no alternate start dates)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
Schedule: Every 3rd weekend and 1 holiday (subject to census and staffing needs)
Type: Travel nursing opportunity

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of recent cardiac step-down experience, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open heart patients, and cardiac/med-surg step-down care
Proficiency with Open-Heart, ventilators, and Epic EMR
Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the PCU, including open heart recovery, telemetry cardiac, and step-down units
Monitor and manage cardiac drips, post-op open heart patients, and heart cath recovery
Document patient care using Epic EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Float to other units during low volume or coverage needs
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
