Travel Nursing Job Details

• Duration: 13-week contract
• Hours per Week: 36 (Full Time)
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a), every other weekend and holiday, plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (NYS RN Licensure required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a Med/Surg clinical setting
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and evaluate patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to set goals and monitor patient outcomes
• Develop specialized skills in cardiac care and telemetry monitoring
• Provide patient and family education to support self-care and lifestyle changes post-discharge
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and emotional support in a healing environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing self-evaluation to enhance nursing practice
• Comply with infection prevention protocols and maintain required nursing competencies
• Accurately document patient care, education, and responses in a timely manner
