Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a busy ER setting
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Room
  • Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical protocols
  • Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered
  • Monitor, document, and report patient status and progress
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
