Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Milwaukee, WI 53233 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/11/2026)
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm; weekend rotation and on-call as needed)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Facility: 228-bed Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU
- Orientation: 3–5 days with dedicated preceptor support
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free in designated areas
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (3+ years for first-time travel nurses)
- Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact state (Registered Nurse jobs in Milwaukee)
- Current BLS certification (required for healthcare professionals)
- Experience with Davinci XI robotic surgery (required)
- Proficiency in GYN, Orthopedic, and General surgery cases
- EPIC charting experience (preferred)
- ACLS and CNOR certifications (preferred for nursing jobs)
OR RN Responsibilities
- Circulate in a busy operating room, supporting 20–23 cases daily across specialties: Orthopedics, GYN, General, Bariatrics, Plastics, Urology
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical techs, anesthesia techs, and support staff
- Utilize advanced surgical technology including Davinci XI and Striker Mako robots
- Provide PACU backup and recovery care as needed
- Float to inpatient units during low census (no patient assignment)
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and hospital systems
- Participate in weekend rotation and on-call coverage
- Uphold high standards of patient safety and infection control
