Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), Main Tower
• Assignment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel contract
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Beds: 32 (12 beds dedicated to cardiogenic shock patients)
• Scheduling: 4-week schedules; 3-4 weekend shifts per period

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Strong cardiac and critical care nursing skills
• Proficiency in PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system a plus
• Professional appearance: scrubs in galaxy blue, red, or black; jackets or vests only

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to cardiac and cardiogenic shock patients
• Monitor and manage advanced cardiac devices (PA catheters, IABP, Impella, CRRT)
• Assist with procedures including central line and Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech EHR
• Support and mentor student nurse externs; work closely with unit secretaries
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code
