• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (adult/pediatric ED preferred)
• Active Compact or Maryland RN license
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam: 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting system preferred
• Skills: Triage, IV starts, phlebotomy
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB
• Recent ED experience in a facility with at least 45,600 visits/year (125/day) within the past 8 months
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two supervisor references required

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in a busy Emergency Department
• Perform triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Care for ventilated patients and those on CPAP/BiPAP
• Implement isolation precautions and respond to emergency situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, social services, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Float to other units within skillset as needed
• Expertly prioritize and organize patient care in a fast-paced ED environment
