Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Kansas City metro area)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 18, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour days (06:30 – 19:00), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: 3-6 days within 3 months
• Weekend Requirement: 1-2 weekends within 3 months
• Holiday Requirement: As needed based on unit requirements
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Orientation: Comprehensive orientation, including Epic EMR training

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license (required for travel nursing jobs)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience with exposure to general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Nicotine-free (facility policy)
• New graduates are not eligible for this healthcare job

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the Operating Room
• Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: general, robotics, ortho, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
