Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Fargo, ND 58104 (North Dakota healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Setting: Acute Care, Medical/Surgical Unit (15 private beds)
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night: 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to out-of-state nurses; will wait for license if needed)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Comfortable with rotating shifts and floating to other Med/Surg units as needed
- Note: Cannot accept travel nurses living within a 60-mile radius of the facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients in an acute care setting
- Perform patient admissions and manage care for patients awaiting unit assignment
- Utilize EPIC for electronic charting, Zebra phones for communication, Omnicell for medication management, and Aleris IV pumps
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 (Days) and 6:1 (Nights)
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training for new Med/Surg protocols
- Float to other Medical/Surgical units as required to provide clinical support
