Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Winchester, TN 37398 (Tennessee healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg RN)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (07:00 - 19:00)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Weekend Hours: 24 hours per weekend
• Call Requirements: As needed (must be able to arrive within 30-60 minutes if called in)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Number of Beds: 44
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN RN jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and HWC certifications (must be obtained prior to start)
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
• Must live at least 60 miles from Winchester, TN to qualify as a travel nurse

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care to diverse age groups
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response situations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and Joint Commission standards
