Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202 – Indiana nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 13, 2026)
• Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00); every Saturday and Sunday plus one rotating weekday
• Call: 6 call shifts per 6-week period (varies)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma, Short-Term Acute Care
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Parking: Free onsite parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (at least 1 year in Level I Trauma Center required)
• Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Circulating experience required; scrubbing experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
• Two supervisor references required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, circulating and scrubbing on a variety of surgical procedures
• Support surgical teams in specialties including General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, GYN, ENT, Trauma, Neuro, Orthopedics, GU, and Colorectal Robotics
• Respond to trauma cases and participate in high-acuity procedures
• Float to other OR units as needed (excluding Cardiovascular & Transplant)
• Participate in on-call rotation and work scheduled weekends and holidays as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
