Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202 – Indiana nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 13, 2026)
- Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00); every Saturday and Sunday plus one rotating weekday
- Call: 6 call shifts per 6-week period (varies)
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Healthcare Setting: Level I Trauma, Short-Term Acute Care
- Charting System: Cerner EMR
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free onsite parking
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (at least 1 year in Level I Trauma Center required)
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand prior to start date)
- BLS certification required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Circulating experience required; scrubbing experience preferred
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
- Two supervisor references required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, circulating and scrubbing on a variety of surgical procedures
- Support surgical teams in specialties including General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, GYN, ENT, Trauma, Neuro, Orthopedics, GU, and Colorectal Robotics
- Respond to trauma cases and participate in high-acuity procedures
- Float to other OR units as needed (excluding Cardiovascular & Transplant)
- Participate in on-call rotation and work scheduled weekends and holidays as required
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
