ER RN Job Details – Massachusetts Healthcare Jobs

• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site
• Location: Falmouth, MA 02540 (Cape Cod nursing jobs)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (2/2/2026 – 5/2/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 year of ER travel nurse experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required for ER nursing jobs)
• Successful completion of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams
• Proficient in IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, PALS certifications and de-escalation training

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide emergency patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Direct and guide patient care and teaching for ancillary staff
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Initiate and communicate plans of care to allied healthcare providers
• Serve as charge nurse and resource for ER staff
• Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
• Comply with hospital safety and infection control policies
• Uphold patient confidentiality and represent the hospital positively in the community
• Deliver service excellence to patients, families, and colleagues
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
