Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Fargo, North Dakota (zip 58104)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Medical/Surgical Unit (32 private rooms)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holiday
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Start Date: February 16, 2026
• End Date: May 18, 2026
• Travel Nursing Requirement: Must reside more than 60 miles from facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
• Active Registered Nurse license (ND or compact state)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Level 1 trauma nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Willingness to float to all Med/Surg units across three Fargo campuses
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate clinical competency across the full scope of nursing practice
• Apply age and population-specific standards in clinical care
• Provide nursing care to a variety of adult Med/Surg patients, including those with behavioral health needs
• Float to additional Medical-Surgical units as required
• Utilize clinical equipment: EPIC EMR, telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, AccuVein, and Omnicell
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
• Follow facility policies, including badge in/out and navy blue scrub dress code
