Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Tucson, AZ 85748 (Arizona healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN job
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: 4x10 hour days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• On-Call: 10-12 days of call per 6-week schedule
• Floating: Required as needed
• Scrub Color: Any color
• EMR: Cerner electronic medical records

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients following hospital policy, AORN standards, and Arizona Nurse Practice Act
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Demonstrate leadership and critical thinking in patient care planning
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks based on staff experience and education
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing nursing education
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
