Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Chamberlain, South Dakota 57325
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Operating Room
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: One to two weekends per month and two nights per week
• Scrubs Provided: Ceil Blue
• Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or compact state
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room circulator experience
• Comfortable with PACU duties; post-anesthesia care unit training provided
• Willingness to take scheduled call shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate in surgical cases: general surgery, scopes, appendectomies, hernia repairs, EGD, colonoscopy, C-sections, D&C's, ectopic pregnancy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
• Recover patients post-operatively (PACU duties)
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
• Follow hospital policies and procedures, including timely badge in/out
