Location: Rapid City, SD 57701 (South Dakota healthcare jobs)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, 11 Operating Room suites, 1 GI suite
Nursing Shift: 10-hour days with call
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Scrubs Provided: Ceil Blue
Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active SD or compact state Registered Nurse license
Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room Circulator experience (3-4 years preferred)
Strong orthopedic nursing experience, including total joints and arthroscopy
Robotics experience (MAKO highly preferred)
BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
Proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures: ortho (total joints, MAKO, arthroscopy), spine, foot and ankle, hand, ORIF, general, ENT, GYN, and plastics
Must badge in and out at facility
At least 1 year of nursing experience required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Circulate in the operating room, primarily supporting orthopedic and surgical cases
Assist with total joint replacements, arthroscopies, spine, foot and ankle, hand, and ORIF procedures
Support additional cases in general surgery, ENT, GYN, and plastics as needed
Utilize advanced surgical equipment, including the MAKO robot
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC charting system
Adhere to facility protocols and healthcare safety standards
