Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Worcester, MA 01605 (Central Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: January 21, 2026
End Date: April 22, 2026
Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts per week (10:45 AM – 11:15 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
Weekend Coverage: No weekends required
Call Requirement: No call required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license (MA RN license required)
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Experience with a variety of surgical procedures: general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, thoracic, neurosurgery, urology, and robotic-assisted cases
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
Completion of pre-start and orientation modules as required
3rd party education verification required prior to start

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to neonates, adults, and geriatric patients
Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more
Maintain strict adherence to infection control, fire safety, and universal protocols
Participate in ongoing nursing education and training modules
Ensure accurate specimen handling and documentation
Support and mentor less experienced nursing staff
