• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR), Level I Trauma Center
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call Rotation: 1 night every third weekend; 12-hour call shifts
• Patient Age Groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Number of OR Rooms: 13

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required
• Circulating and scrub experience across multiple specialties: Transplant, Liver/Kidney, Endo, Vascular, Neuro, Trauma, General, Pediatrics, Micro, and more
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures: transplant, vascular, neuro, trauma, ortho, plastics, ENT, general, and pediatric surgeries
• Operate specialized OR equipment: fracture/spine beds, microscopes, brain navigation systems, Argon beam, ligasures, ESUs, neptune suctions, and more
• Participate in call rotation and respond to emergency situations
• Ensure proper specimen handling and labeling
• Maintain infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Complete required orientation and facility modules prior to and during assignment
