- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
- Floating: May float between units and sister facilities
- Dress Code: Solid navy blue scrubs for licensed nursing staff
- Parking: Free employee and visitor parking
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact state license accepted for travel nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent IMCU/Stepdown nursing experience required
- Prior travel nurse experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required; Level I experience preferred
- Cardiac Telemetry experience required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred
- Ability to provide 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years
- Willingness to float between units and facilities as needed
- Commitment to work 3 of the 5 major holidays during the contract
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including telemetry monitoring and post-procedure management
- Manage patient ratios of 1:4, caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Administer medications, cardiac drips, and vasoactive drips as ordered
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to dysrhythmias
- Perform wound care, manage central and peripheral lines, and assist with post-cardiac procedures (TAVR, Watchman, angiograms, heart caths, post-CABG)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and patient charting
- Participate in orientation and required training modules
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and dress code
- Float between units and facilities as needed to support patient care
