Travel Nurse Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Float Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York nursing jobs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 27, 2026
• End Date: April 28, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00); option for 4x12-hour shifts with approval
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Setting: Overhire float unit (floating required across hospital units)
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float to various hospital units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from Rochester, NY (local candidates not accepted)
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airway equipment
• Perform peripheral IV line care and management
• Implement isolation precautions as required
• Respond to rapid response and code team calls
• Float to different units within the hospital as required
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system
